WELCOME FROM THE CHIEF
Welcome, and thank you for visiting the Fairfield Police Department website. This is an exciting
time for the law enforcement profession with so many changes and new technologies. The Fairfield Police Department is making
every effort to change with the times and provide professional service to the community by utilizing new advances in communications,
data processing, and digital technologies.
Community policing has become the law enforcement catch phrase of the 21st
Century. We are pleased to say that we in smaller police agencies have never moved away from community policing. We have practiced
it for generations and will continue to do so in the future. As the community changes, however, we recognized our need to
change also. The internet has brought change to every community and has provided us with an invaluable opportunity to strengthen
our partnership with those we serve.
