CITY OF FAIRFIELD
ORDINANCE NO. 1514
FAIRFIELD MUNICIPAL ANIMAL CONTROL ACT
SHORT TITLE
This ordinance shall be known and cited as THE FAIRFIELD MUNICIPAL ANIMAL CONTROL ACT.
WHEREAS, THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD AS A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, duly organized under the laws of the State of Illinois; and WHEREAS, THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD as authorized pursuant to the Illinois Animal Control Act to adopt Ordinances and Regulations regarding animals within the corporate limits of the City of Fairfield; and
WHEREAS, THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF FAIRFIELD has determined that it is in the best interest of the citizens of Fairfield and the municipality that an Ordinance be adopted regulating animals within the corporate limits of the City of Fairfield,
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED that Title Six (6) of the Fairfield Municipal Code is amended to read as follows:
Sec. 6-1 AUTHORITY
This Act is adopted pursuant to authority given to the City of Fairfield pursuant to Illinois Compiled Statutes Chapter 510, paragraph 5/1 et seq., Section 5/24 of THE ILLINOIS ANIMAL CONTROL ACT.
