ONE-WAY STREETS AND ALLEYS

18.18.010 Location Designated.
 
A vehicle shall be driven only in the direction designated below on the following streets and alleys within the city limits of the City of Fairfield, Wayne County, Illinois, (which streets and alleys are designated as one-way):

Location of Street or Alley One-Way Direction of Traffic

East Water Street from North First Street to Northeast Second Street East

Alley between Lots 9 and 10 of Stewarts Addition to the City of Fairfield in the 100 block of West Main Street, which alley runs North and South from West Main Street on the north to the United Methodist Church Parking Lot on the south North

Alley between Lots 1 and 20 of U.C. Staleys Addition to the City of Fairfield and Outlot No. 7 of Turneys Second Addition to the City of Fairfield in the 300 block of Southeast Seventh Street, which alley runs east and west between Southeast Seventh Street and Southeast Eighth Street West

Alley running East and West between North First Street and Northeast Second Street between Lots 11 and 12 in E.T. Halls Addition to the City of Fairfield West

18.18.020 Posting Signs.
 
The chief of police of the City of Fairfield or some other person designated by him shall erect or cause to be erected suitable traffic signs indicating the said restriction of travel on said streets or alleys designated one-way under this Chapter.

18.18.030 Penalty.
 
It shall be unlawful for any person to drive any vehicle on said streets or alleys designated one-way in this chapter in a direction other than that direction designated in this chapter and any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be fined not less than five dollars ($5.00) and no more than fifty dollars ($50.00) for each offense.
