The following intersections in the City of Fairfield are designated as Yield Right of Way Intersections for vehicles travelling in the direction indicated, to-wit:

18.14.020 Posting Signs.
 
The Chief of the Police Department of the City of Fairfield shall post or cause to be posted suitable yield right-of-way signs at said intersections facing the traffic approaching said intersections in the direction of travel as stated above. (Ord. 941 Art. 5 7-6-71)

18.14.030 Operation of Vehicle.
 
The driver of any vehicle in obedience to such yield right of way signs shall reduce the speed of his vehicle to not more than fifteen (15) miles per hour and shall yield right of way to other vehicles which have entered the intersecting streets either from the right or left or which are approaching so closely to such intersections as to constitute a hazard; but the driver having so yielded may proceed at such time as a safe interval occurs. If a driver is involved in a collision at an intersection or interferes with the movement of other vehicles after driving past a yield right of way sign, such collision shall be deemed prima facie evidence of the drivers failure to yield right of way. 18.14.040 Penalty.
 
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this Chapter shall be fined not less than Five Dollars ($5.00) nor more than Twenty-Five Dollars ($25.00) for each offense. (Ord. 941 Art. 7 7-6-71)
